1. It isn't just about the carbs.

Following a pro metabolic style of eating may seem like just adding a bunch of carbs. One of the most common mistakes I see is not focusing on protein (and healthy fats). Pair adequate amounts of animal protein with healthy carb of choice. If you are transitioning from a keto/low carb diet, slowly increase your carbs.

2. Are you ready for dairy?

A common mistake that can cause a lot of breakouts is going heavy on raw dairy from the start. Your ability to tolerate dairy greatly depends on your gut health. Eliminating modern wheat and other gut-triggering foods can help. If you haven't eaten diary for a long time, start with grass-fed ghee/butter, and slowly go from there.

3. Irritating and pore-clogging natural ingredients

Heavy, very occlusive ingredients, such as tallow and cocoa butter can be great for someone not prone to acne (or body skin). However, they can be very triggering for acne-prone skin, especially when paired with essential oils or natural extracts with a fragrance component.

It has been so amazing watching the pro-metabolic community grow over the past few years and I have more and more clients coming to me already on a pro-metabolic train.

This makes me so happy as supporting your metabolism (which may look somewhat different for different people) is the way to go to balance the hormones and get clear, glowing skin FOR GOOD.

All that said, I have observed that some people unknowingly make some mistakes that cause them to massively break out at the start of their journey.

This can be easily avoided in a lot of cases in my experience!

Are you in your 20s or 30s, and tired of still struggling with acne and breakouts? There is so much misinformation about the right skincare for getting clear skin, and caring for sensitive acne-prone skin. This is why I made a FREE online course where you will find little-known skin-healing secrets you won't usually hear from the skincare industry or dermatologists. And yet, they WORK.
